Day 26– July 25, 2005, Monday: A fresh new week, a fresh new speaker

The photos are: on left, us and some great friends. left to right, craig, esther, ruth, dave, karen, wendy, rodney, donna and dave.
on the Right: this weeks speaker, Joseph in one of his calmer moments.

We have a new speaker this week. Since Dave and Donna Bell already sent out thier weekly email, I’ll just copy what they said about him…“Our teacher this week has been Joseph Avarkian. He is an Armenian, Lebanese, who moved to Greece at 9 years old. He married a German, and his extended family now reside in Canada! He thinks that God has such a great sense of humour, because He chose Joseph, who has so many identities to teach on the subject of identity! He can speak 7 languages fluently, and is a creative design genius. He talks and acts just like Robyn Williams, and he has had us in hysterics many times this week. He speaks in about 15 different personalities and often at least 3 in the same sentence! Left me in head spins! In the middle of teaching, he would break out into Elvis presley, the Beatles, worship or any cartoon character you can think of! I enjoyed and laughed alot, amongst the reshaping that God is continuing to do while we are here.”

Ruth went to an optional program today about kids with aids in need in Africa. It basically made her want to start an orphanage. Who knows?

As many of you have found out from our support letter, WE ARE GOING TO AFRICA! Namely, Zimbabwe and Uganda. We are extremely excited. There is so much need there, we can’t wait to help out.
