Day 29– July 28, 2005, Thursday: A Birthday Celebration
Joseph spoke again in the morning. He showed us a bunch of music that he loves and many of the logos that he has designed for companies, as well as the logo he made for YWAM. He does some amazing work, and he involves God in amazing ways.
We had a Luau in CELEBRATION of Loren Cunningham’s 70th birthday. He is still going strong. The reason he is sitting is because he just had his knee rebuilt a week or two ago. He has some of the coolest stories ever. Great Hawaiian food, shrimp, fish, pineapple. Then Loren spoke and told us about the founding of YWAM, and some history about Hawaii and how they tie together. It was great because Jonny fell asleep on me, so I could actually listen to the message. (normally he is quite active during these gatherings, so we have to chase him around and keep him calm, not easy) Then, of course right near the end he must have been having a dream about the ocean because he peed all over me. Sigh. So we trotted off to the room and changed and made it back in time for cake.
All of these pictures are taken live from our festivities. We have a lot of islander talent around here!
